Since "inside-oriented" of New Period Literature,"inside" art works have long been the center of people’s aesthetic standards and leading our aesthetic value orientation."inside writing ",as a form of "inside-oriented ",emphasizes writer’s personal experience and inner world,which is a relative concept of "open field writing".There is no doubt that emphasis should be put on reading of people’s inner world.However,in Zhang Chengzhi’s world,it’s believed that one can only get close to inner world and written experiences can only be demonstrated by walking toward to the open field.As a writer who looks at this world by travelling with feet,Zhang Chengzhi has incorporated the idea of "Open Field" into his works.Particularly in the crisis of humanity in the 1990s,when more and more intellectuals joined capitulationist clique,faced with the massive intellectual class,Zhang Chengzhi indignantly stuck to the field "anti-war literature" in form of writing.This self-persistence in "open field"brought us to the true spirit and consciousness of Chinese literature and writers.In his point of view,the fundamental reason accounting for falling of contemporary Chinese literature is a lack of belief.With rapid development of commodity economy and prosperity of business culture,we are faced with tremendous cultural dilemma and spiritual desert.Zhang Chengzhi’s "open field claims" are to awaken intellectuals’sense of justice and consciousness,see the original beauty of Chinese culture,and save human beings from dilemma and desert.This article will illustrate the "open field spirit"of Zhang Chengzhi’s works in the following chapters.Chapter I introduces important issues and choice of topic studied in this article based on relevant background,based on which the current study situation of Zhang Chengzhi’s works are to be classified,sorted out and analyzed from the point of view of awareness and spirit.Scientific methods will be applied to further studies and detect problems according to previous experiences and failures from a fresher point of view.Chapter II First of all,from the perspective of wording source and according to domestic and overseas references,it classifies and sorts out the conceptual source and historical succession of "open field".So that the specific and abstract meaning of"open field’ appeared.Secondly,it summarizes the definition "open field" spirit and specific characteristics of "open field" spirit based on Kierkegaard’s Existentialist Philosophy,Thirdly,combing the relationship of traditional Chinese conceptions"home""open field" and "road",it analyzes Zhang Chengzhi’s dedication and efforts in"Self-cultivating;Family-regulating;State-ordering;Country Union" as an individual.Fourthly,it indicates the writer’s anxious psychology and contradictory thinking from his open field travelling.Chapter III It mainly analyzes the meaning of "open field" spirit from three different dimensions of“wild nature,civilization and characteristics" in pursuit of humanity spirit lost in the crisis of humanity in the 1990s.First of all,based on the extensive meaning of "wild" and related works of Luxun and Gorky,analysis on beauty of "wild" specifically refers to their different views and common humanitarian ideas on"wild".Secondly,the relation between "open field,civilization and culture" leads to Zhang Chengzhi’s views on Chinese culture,particularly ancient Chinese culture.Therefore it’s concluded that civilization is to be back to "wild".Furthermore,according to Kierkegaard’s idea of "individual person",it analyzes how Zhang Chengzhi deals with the relation between "individual" and "public" combining Lu Xun’s definition of "intellectual class" and descriptions of audiences in Gorky’s works.Chapter IV By coming the relation between modern archeology,capitalism revolution of 19th century and two opposite thought trends,it studies the philosophical origin of this science branch,based on which,it’s indicated that its methodology tradition is opposite to the essence of humanity science.Therefore it traces back to the origin of Zhang Chengzhi’s writing methodology "open field".Further,it enlightens the constitution of this methodology:travelling practically and soul integration.With the latter idea,it shows how write manages to integrate with low-class people through "soul mode",language tool and "conversing ability".At least,it is also demonstrated how this methodology achieves a delicate combination of history、rational&irrational,science and humanity.Conclusion from a macroscopic point view,it concludes the meaning and methodology constitution of "open field" writing and summarizes the original meaning and Zhang Chengzhi’s extensive ideas on "open field".At least,literary and cultural value of "open field" writing is concluded.
