Huang Binhong Said That "the United States" And The Changes In Chinese Painting

Huang Binhong is a famous modern Chinese landscape painter and painting theorist.His painting career is at the critical juncture of Chinese painting reform,when western learning is introduced into China abundantly.Under the influence of western culture,Chinese painting no longer develops autonomously but changes passively.In this context,Huang Binhong put forward that emphasis should be put on the "inner beauty" of Chinese painting,starting from Chinese painting itself.He practices the “inner beauty”theory in person and completes works that reached "hunhouhuazi" form in the Chinese cultural context.Through studying the “inner beauty”theory of Huang Binhong and his works,this thesis attempts to elaborate the state that Chinese painting should be achieved in mordern China,in case of transforming independently in Chinese cultural context,and offer a reference for the controversy of contemporary Chinese painting.The purpose of this thesis has been realized by adopts methods such as iconology,culturology,and hermeneutics.Through analyzing the “inner beauty” theory and the works of Huang Binhong,this thesis obtains the final apperance of Chinese painting after its transformartion in the context of modernization,under the condition that it should be without the influence of western painting and Chinese tradition.
