Thinking And Practice Of Daxu Calligraphy Creation

The Large Seal Script is based on the ancient characters.Its elegant temperament with a sense of pureness and classic beauty.The existence of the Large Seal Script has delivered unspeakable experience in Chinese calligraphy with various inspirations.This paper aims to analyze the status quo of the art creation of The Large Seal Script,to summarize both the pros and cons of today's Large Seal Script creation.Based on author's experience of creating the art work of “Large Seal Script scrolls of ‘The Analects of Confucius',the author tried to learn from the classic theories,and combine the artistic side with the academic side in The Large Seal Script calligraphy.By applying both classic theories in The Large Seal Script and the general principles in Chinese Calligraphy to this art work,the author hopes to provide a practical reference to future calligraphy education as well as the future art creation in The Large Seal Script.
