Research On The Interaction Of Lexical And Syntactic Interactions In The "syntax-semantic" Interface

The relationship between lexical-syntactic has been seen as the core of interface problems. After a review of publications, we found that the majority of them paid attention to one-way research (lexical to syntactic or syntactic to lexical) such as Semantic Role Theory, Predicate Decomposition Theory, and Projection Theory.Interactive research such as Construction Grammar is rarely seen. On the basis of the tagging verbs corpus, we choose eighteen typical verbs as the case study to discuss the interactive relationship of lexical-syntactic. The article provides a new perspective to interface problems, and holds significant value to the theory of syntax-semantics and language information processing.The study is always based on the investigation of real tagging corpus. Firstly,based on <Lexical Semantic Feature Tagging Tet>(2689 entries), we analysed the semantic feature of 18 selectid verbs included six one-valence verbs, six two-valence verbs and six three-valence verbs to accomplish a sequence pattern. Secondly,based on < Syntactic Category Semantic Feature Tagging Set>, we analysed the type of role category and the feature of category semantic. Thirdly, based on <Semantic Grammar Category Tagging System>(97 entries), we sumed up the models of semantic roles of these verbs, as well as the prototype and the derivation. These verbs totally cover 173 categories of 590 sentence modular forms. Among them, the type of one-valence verbs covered 10 categories of 142 kinds of sentence model, the type of two-valence verbs covered 40 categories of 224 kinds of sentence model, and the three-valence verbs covered 123 categories of 224 kinds of sentence model.We analysed the same category feature decides the same syntactic expression,the different lexical features control the concrete combination objects, and the lexical semantic plays a role of the underlying constraints. To be specific, on the one hand,lexical semantic restricts the choice of composite objects, the number and types of the combination framework, and the location as well as characteristics of syntactical realization of syntactic semantic role. On the other hand, syntactic structure restricts the demand of lexical unit such as their orientation, vital force, voluntary degree, and it caused the semantic change of vocabulary units.Our every step is carried out based on real corpus, but some aspects haven’t been elaborated detailedly. There are quite a few notable topics and problems in this field which reserved our exploration in greater depth especially the pragmatic constraints,and the interactive restriction of checks structure.
