| The Chinese idioms with "da" plays an important role in the Chinese idioms.It is the required learning content of both Chinese speakers and foreign speakers. On the basis of predecessors' research findings,this thesis takes two hundred and thirty Chinese idioms with"da" in Chinese Idioms Dictionary,which is complied by Wen Duanzheng and Wu Jiansheng as research object. This thesis analyses the Chinese idioms with "da" from the perspective of grammatical structures,semantics and rhetoric.In terms of grammatical structure, the structure of "predicate + object" of Chinese idioms with "da" is flexible,but the structure of the other kinds of Chinese idioms with "da" is relatively fixed;In terms of semantic analysis,based on the basic theory of metaphor,the spatial metaphor of the Chinese idioms with "da" includes"up/down" and “ front/back" two main types.The ontological metaphor of the Chinese idioms with "da" chooses the human body,plants, animals,liquid and so on as the source domain and maps it to the abstract reason.The structural metaphor of the Chinese idioms with "da" chooses the things which relates to life and behavior as the source domain and maps it to the target domain.Based on the basic theory of metonymy,the Chinese idioms with "da" includes "part refer to whole" and "tool replace function" two main kinds.In terms of rhetoric,the Chinese idioms with "da" is characterized by its iconicity,ridicule, banter and derogatory ;In terms of cultural connotation, the Chinese idioms with "da" reflects people's simple survival philosophy and food culture and it also reflects that people are helping each other and pursuing harmonious and win-win communication,and so on.With regard to the word frequency statistics of CCL database and teaching Chinese as a second language,combing with the second language teaching practice,this thesis chooses 68 Chinese idioms with "da" that should be taught and concludes with several teaching suggestions. |
