Liu Zongyuan's Prose Narrative Research

Like lyrical,narration is one of the Chinese literary traditions.It not only be confined to narrative style such as novels and dramas but also appear in the lyrical styles such as poetry and prose.Liu Zongyuan has a lot of prose creation and his prose has a high ideological and artistic achievement.After comprehensive analysis and research Liu Zongyuan's prose,his prose can be grouped into three narrative purpose: "the purpose to manifest tao",“the purpose to express the emotion”,“the key to Defamiliarization”.Four narrative strategy: individual characters use,various rhetorical device,flexible narrative sequence and distinguished language style.Narrative perspective can be divided into two types: outside and inside perspective.In addition,his defamiliarization effect and the use of small potatoes and animals enable his prose has a unique artistic charm.It also contribute to the narrative tradition of Chinese literature,it deserves attention.If we want to understand the value of Liu Zongyuan's prose and Chinese literature correctly,narration should not be ignored.
