On Liu Zongyuan's Prose

Liu Zongyuan is a outstanding thinker and writer in the history of Chinese literature. He had a rich diversity of literary theory and literary achievements, which set him an important position in the history of Chinese literature.His poems and essies have had a far-reaching effect on Chinese literature.This paper selects Liu Zongyuan's prose as the body text for my study and sets time for the clues: At Chang'an period, Yongzhou period and Liuzhou period. The main purpose is to find the the dynamic forces behind his creative mind and his artistic style. The main contents of the article is as follows:Firstly, the article makes a definition for the "prose". Liu Zongyuan's whole "prose" are classified.The areticle studies the Stylistic development,stereotypes and classifications from the perspective of the evolution of the "prose". The definition for the "prose" is on the basis of the above study. Liu Zongyuan's proses are selected to be 35 as the body text specifically . In order to facilitating targeted research, this paper sets it's own standard and facts to classfy Liu Zongyuan's proses, which is different from the traditional classification. Liu Zongyuan body text is divided into four categories: Institutions, that Hall Pavilions, pots Miscellanies and landscapes.Secondly, Liu Zongyuan's prose are classified periodically,which is also based on the previous study of others in this area. The paper gives a solution : That 8 proses were written in Chang'an period, 23 in Yongzhou period and 4 in Liuzhou period. Detailed differentiations of written time are made carefully for certain proses .The article's main body and key parts are the study of Liu Zongyuan's prose periodically.The four categories of body text are carefully studied in writing motivation, ideas and artistic features in accordance with the three periods. For each category of article, Institutions, that Hall Pavilions, pots Miscellanies are studied with the main efforts because of not having been addressed in-depth in ideas as well as in writing skills. As for the landscape in mind that the main focus on the mentality of Liu Zong-yuan, landscape and the relationship between the author's emotions, in order to change the text of the key achievements as well as language arts. For our predecessors elaborately discussed the technique of writing and language skills of describing scenery, the paper gives little of ink, so as not to pick the predecessors.The obviously effect of Liu Zongyuan's prose is causciously evaluated: First, to promote the maturity of Chinese travel literature. Second, to promote the prosperious of the same kind prose.The article also based on the style to identify the author of the work Matuishan Maoting Mark, which should belong to the author of Duguji in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
