Xie Lingyun's Prose Study

Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern Dynasties are important periods for literati to awaken self-awareness.Since literati paid attention from external factors to themselves,the political education function of literature these periods turned to lyrical and expressive function.Furthermore,mentioned Xie lingyun,who is the earliest ancestor of scenic poem,the literary achievements of whom affect hundreds and thousands poets,and the studies of his literature focus more on scenic poems.However,landscapes in his literature are meticulous and objective,lacing resonance of emotions.As a representative of literati during self-awareness periods,the expression and intensification in Xie's literature is not reflected in scenic poem,it is devoted to prose.Prose literature of Xie will be fully discussed through introduction and six chapters in this thesis.Chapters 1 studies Xie's exordium,including literary concept and ideological contents.The former includes the ideology of literary appreciation and new trends of literature;the latter includes ideological contradiction and recall ideology by using history to present the contemporary era.The existence of self-annotation in <Shanju Ode> of Xie is special in the history of literature,so it will be discussed in this chapter.The end of this chapter studied the only of Xie--<visit famous mountains volunteers>.As an early prose of travels,its connotation worth studying.Chapter 2 expounds lament inscription through the art of literature and ideological contents.The former discuss about the exaggerated and plain language,and the artistic style as well.The latter extrudes lyric characteristic of lament inscription,discussing the emotional resonance between lament others and lament himself,and character performance of non-restraining.Chapter 3 studies about debate articles,listing the fusion of Confucianism and Taoism,which is the contents of the Buddhism,and exploring the Buddhist thought and debate of epiphany.Following with the Letter to explore the friendships of Xie to comprehend his character and personality roundly and profoundly.Finally concentrates on the artistic characteristics,studying the variety of the methods ofquestions and answers and the forms of literature.Chapters 4 comes with the eulogistic articles.Since there are quite a lot contents about the Buddhism,this chapter combing the association activities and thoughts of the Confucianism and Taoism.In addition,this chapter also contains the problems of the eulogistic articles,focusing on its the inheritance and revolution.Chapter 5 is about Memorial,dividing into 3 parts.The first part is about the narrations by Xie himself,which are <Zili Biao>?<The exhortation of suppressing Hebei >?<The gratitude of being Kangle Duke> separately.The second part is the studies of inscription,which contains <Foying Inscription>,the petitioner of which is Huiyuan master,and <Shuzhi Inscription>,with a few words left.Finally comes with<Jinshu>,which is not finished by Xie.Just a few of <Jinshu> has come down to us,but the literary talent and knowledge of Xie could also be seen from it.Finally comes with the general chapter.In this chapter,a cross-sectional study explores the literature of Xie,containing the inter-infiltration among contents of all types of writing.The major structure in this part is constituted by the landscape reconfiguration?the perfection of literary ideology?and the certification or evidence among historical materials.And then is the inter-infiltration of the artistic expressions among all types of writing.The generality of forms of literary showed up in Xie's literature is studied here.Mainly contains the characteristic of literary quotation,dual-purpose of prose and rhythmical prose in sentence pattern,the characteristic of the tendency of being duality and the mild?indirect and ingenious among reduplicated word and rhythmical language.
