As a famous literati in the interim of the Jin and Song Dynasty, Xie Lingyun's literal works was be acclaimed as "the best works in Southeast of China" by the "Songshu"(the History Book of Song Dynasties). However, compared with his great achievements in poetry works, Xie's Cifu works (Poetic Prose) do not own proper attention in academic circle which it should be deserved.Therefore, this paper was hoped to make up this academic deficiency by systematic researching in Xie's Cifu works.This paper was begin with plenty of documents and relative information, fathom Xie's history background and culture background, classify and research his Cifu works.
