Most of Avigdor Arikha's works depict the daily routines.Through a unique observation perspective, although his painting themes are ordinary, the pictures convey a soul-stirring feelings. For painters, the highest level of skills is to see through things directly, and which is the truth. To achieve this purpose,Arikha gave up abstract paintings and completed eight years of sketch practice. The purpose is to make an accurate response when the interest is inspired, and directly access to the mysterious nature which seems like both familiar and strange. In this paper,by means of Arikha's unique perspective, combined with his lifetime and painting experiences,I would briefly analyse his painting language, and make a comparative analysis between it and the Renaissance,Chardin and Cezanne, trying to demonstrate the relationship between the formation of his painting style and emotional needs. This paper focuses on Arikha's special perspective, deliberately tilting the subject and limiting the picture, which give daily routines a sense of freshness and arouse the audience's attention to daily things. At the same time, this paper outlines the author's attempts and explorations for the expression and limitation of colour and layout.
