In the fierce competitive environment,how to weigh the individual interests and collective interests has become a dilemma which people always have to deal with.For example,university students need to balance individual interests with collective interests in not only unique dormitory culture but also research collaboration.They always encounter kinds of dilemmas.Therefore,studying factors playing important roles in decision-making helps the university students a lot to make right decision,and guides them to develop more mature social interaction patterns.Self-construal of an individual is not always consistent with the cooperative behavior,and both self-construal and construal level of cooperation affect the cooperative behavior.However,most of the existing researches focus on either of the mentioned factors,and the interaction between self-construal and contour also level has not been analyzed systematically.Moreover,researches studying different feedback ways affecting the impact of the two factors on cooperative behavior are rare.Based on individual differences,this study attempts to explore the cooperative behavior of individuals in social dilemma from the perspective of self-construal and construal level,especially the effect of self-construal and construal level on individual cooperative behavior under different feedback conditions.In this study,the task situation is the dilemma model of public goods,simulating a social dilemma.The college students were subjects,and the questionnaire and three laboratory experiments were implemented.2×2 participants experimental design was used to exploring the tendency to cooperate in different ways of feedback.Based on the analysis of experimental data,the following results are abstained:1.Self-construal has a main effect on the level of cooperative behavior.In the social dilemma,different self-construal have different influences for the individual cooperation behavior.People of interdependent self-construal were more cooperative than those of independent self-construal.2.Feedback ways have a main effect on the level of cooperative behavior.Collective feedback can promote cooperation more effectively than individual feedback mode.3.Self-construal and feedback have significant interactive effects.Individuals of interdependent self-construal are not affected by feedback easily,whereas those of independent self-construal are vulnerable to be effected by feedback.Individuals of independent self-construal in individual feedback mode have more obvious competitive tendencies.4.Construal level has a main effect on the level of cooperative behavior.People exhibited higher level of cooperative toward high construal level members than they were toward low construal level members.5.Construal level and feedback have no significant interactive effects.6.Self-construal and feedback have significant interactive effects.People of interdependent self-construal under the priming of high and low construal levels exhibit higher level of cooperative behavior,but the differences are not significant;people of independent self-construal are more cooperative toward high construal level members,but under the priming of low construal level their cooperative behavior level is low.
