This is a report on the English-Chinese translation practice based on the third chapter and the sixth chapter of the education symposium “Innovating to Learn,Learning to Innovate”.The third chapter introduces the importance of research-based innovation and its differences from other education methods;and the sixth chapter provides guidance for innovative learning environment construction based on the innovation education in Mexico.The translation material belongs to academic thesis,has the characteristics of information type text which is concise but complex in logical relation.In the translation process,the translator focused on the transformation of text information based on the reasonable use of Chinese customs.In the case analysis part,the translator combined with the specific examples,introduced three kinds of translation methods used for parenthesis: independent sentences,using bracket,mixing with clauses;in terms of“Verb+ing” words at the beginning of sentences,the translator added subjects and transferred them as concomitant adverbials;about the complex logical relation in original text,the translator adopted methods of changing the sentence structure and reorganization etc.to realize the bilingual transformation.During the translation practice,the translator improved translation skills,gained strategies and methods which can be used in future translation.
