The traditional definition of knowledge is internalism, which defines knowledge as justified true belief. However,in the last half of 20 century, this definition faces insurmountable challenge, after the appearance of the case of Gettier.Against this background, the reliabilism,a presentation of externalism, was approved, and then it owed a number of supporters. In contrast with internalism, reliablism transfers the core of justification from internal mind state to external causal relations between a belief and the environment generating this belief, and devote to replace reason which is the core concept of traditional internalism. From the Brandom's point of view, the reliablism has two important insights. They are ‘the Foundation of insight' and ‘Goldman's insight' respectively. The two creative insights promote the research and the development of epistemology.Though the reliablism can solve the problem of traditional internal epistemology,it contains two heavy defects which are called two ‘blindspot' by Brandom. The two blindspots are ‘conceptual blindspot' and “naturalistic blindspot'.So,Brandom think that a reliablism modified by inferentialism can absorb the two insights,in the same time, avoiding the two blindsopts. The inferentialist epistemology puts attribution and commitments as the core concepts to describe knowledge.A attribution is essential a social activity which requires the attribution is reliable.Commitments require themselves having qualification to do attributing. This qualification of attributing is the reason which is emphasized in traditional internal epistemology. In the inferentialist theory, the traditional internal reason and external reliable attribution become the premise or conclusion in the network of inferential relation.Putting social practices as core of inference, this new approach approves a new way for both externalism and reliablism. This new reliablism which is modified by Brandom's inferentilism has more promising theoretic future.
