The Origin, Evolution And Causes Of Overlapping Adverbs

In Chinese language,the reduplicated form is an very important grammar means,and the reduplicatedive adverb is one of the importance categories of reduplicated forms.However,the focus on the reduplicatedive adverb is not enough.This article mainly focuses on the study of reduplicatedive adverbs from the perspective of historical evolution and this paper is divided into seven chapters.Chapter one is the introduction of the essay.This chapter defines the purpose and significance of the research and points out the objects of study are reduplicative adverbs,rather than the reduplicated form of adverbs.This chapter summarizes the present research status of reduplicative adverbs,and divides reduplicative adverbs into seven categories according to the source of reduplicative adverbs.They are reduplicative adverbs which are overlapped by adverbs,adjectives,verbs,nouns,pronouns,numbers and quantifiers.Chapter two is the study of reduplicatedive adverbs which are formed by the reduplicated form of adverbs.The number of this type of reduplicatedive adverbs is more,there are 17,accounting for 33.33%of the number of reduplicative adverbs.We select the"qiaqia(??)"and"ganggang(??)"as the objects of study,and point out the common characteristics during the historical evolution.Chapter three discusses the reduplicatedive adverbs which are formed by the overlapping adjectives.There are 19 reduplicative adverbs in this category,accounting for 37.25%of the total number of reduplicatedive adverbs.In this chapter,we select"haohao(??)","weiwei(??)"and"qiaoqiao(??)"as the research objects,and make a detailed study of its development and evolution,and point out its development direction.The fourth chapter is a study of reduplicatedive adverbs which are formed by overlapping verbs.There are only a few adverbs in this form of reduplicatedive adverbs,which is about 13.73%of the total number of reduplicatedive adverbs.This chapter chooses"wangwang(??)"and"toutou(??)"as the objects of study,and makes a detailed study of theirs evolution.Chapter five examines the development of reduplicatedive adverbs from nouns,pronouns,numbers and quantifiers.This paper mainly investigates the diachronic evolution of"shishi(??)"?"wanwan(??)"and"shuangshuang(??)".Chapter six summarizes the formation of reduplicatedive adverbs from the heoretical view.The main motivations for the formation of reduplicatedive adverbs are high frequency usage,syntactic distribution,semantic changes,pragmatic factors.The main mechanisms of the formation are analogy,and reanalysis.Chapter seven is the conclusion of the article.This Chapter summarizes the diachronic evolution of reduplicatedive adverbs,and summarizes the motivation and mechanism of the formation of reduplicatedive adverbs.
