Research On The Translation Of Chinese Characteristic Words In Film And Television Works

With the development of film and television drama,a large variety of Chinese characteristic words appear in the film and television works,how accurately the Chinese characteristic words in the film and television works translated into Uighur is a difficult problem in translation.The author chooses the research dimension of the translation of specific Chinese words in the film and television works as his research topic,because of the previous work experience in translation of film and television works.Although working on this topic is pretty hard,because not much translation studies on film translation between Chinese and Uygur have been done,I made this try.This paper consists of five parts:the first part is the introduction,mainly about the development of audiovisual translation and existing problems,such as the definition of Chinese characteristic word and its translation.This paper studies the theory and methods,data source and writing symbols.The second part is the overview of Uyghur translation of Chinese characteristic words,mainly about the related studies on Chinese and Uyghur characteristic words,translation research on Uyghur Chinese characteristic words.The third part is on the Uyghur translation of Chinese characteristic words,focuses on the main features the Uygur translation of Chinese words in Chinese TV shows;respectively,official title,title,ancient words,language and customs,respectful appellation words,apology,farewell and so on.These characteristic words are all taken from Justice Bao,The Legend of Zhen Huan,and Doctor Changjin.The fourth part is the translation skills in the translation of Chinese characteristic words.The skills are put fourth taking Mr.Fan Zhongying's Practical Course book on Translation as the theoretical guidance,combined with the translation of Justice Bao.The translations of Chinese characteristic words are analyzed from different angles and methods like omission method,amplification method,and extension method.The fifth part is the conclusion,mainly on the primary points and a summary innovation points.
