Life And Morality

In the 20 th century in western world,Schweitzer is not only a humanitarian and socialist,what's important,he is a famous philosopher at that time.Schweitzer is well known as a humanitarian and socialist,but no one can ignore the contribution he made in the life philosophy field.In the 18 th and 19 th,German philosophy influenced China in different aspects.You can say Classic German philosophy occurred mainly in academic field and leave huge impact in the Modern Chinese academic and political development field,while in the social ideology field,you can say everybody has been influenced by Schopenhauer and Nietzsche's life philosophy since then.Just as Qichao Liang said,In nowadays German,the most two powerful ideology,one is Socialism by Max,the other is the individualism by Nietzsche.The interesting thing is Albert Schweitzer admit that his own philosophy has some internal relations with Schopenhauer and Nietzsche's philosophy,and he also agreed that his philosophy is combined by Schopenhauer and Nietzsche's.Schweitzer definitely agreed Nietzsche's idea of “Affirming life and the world”.Based on this theory,and from the point of life and morality,he also presented that Nietzsche went beyond Schopenhauer's thought of "negation of life”.But unfortunately,he is just to be sure with life with no doubt.Through the analysis of Nietzsche's life philosophy,Schweitzer finally was full affirmation with life from the moral aspect and also raise the level of ethics to all plants and animals,then proposed the philosophy ethics theory of Ehrfurcht vor dem Leben.In this paper,from the point of view of morality and life,the author aims to explore the rich connotation of Schweitzer's life philosophy.
