The Kongque River basin because of its superior geographical position as well as the brilliant civilization of oases,which becomes the representative of the Western Regions culture.During the Han and Jin Dynasties,Kroraina,Yuli,Quli and Shanguo created a splendid civilization with the rich water resources of Kongque River,and the burial remains is an important witness of this civilization.Due to better preserved and abundant funerary objects,Yingpan Han-Jincemetery,suburb of Kroraina tombs and Northwest Han-Jin cemetery in Lop Nur become the representative of The Kongque River Basin Han-Jin tombs.Through the construction of the tombs and the funerary objects,we learnt about that there were different peoples lived in the Kongque River basin,including Gushi,Chinese,Huns,Qiang people,Darouzhi of The Kushan Empire and so on,they engaged in agriculture,animal husbandry and the trade.Meanwhile,funerary objects also reflect that the local culture was influenced by the Western classical culture,the West Asia culture,the Central Asia culture and and Chinese culture,of course,it also retains its unique indigenous culture.In the period of Han and Jin dynasties,Multi-cultural of Kongque River basin was inseparable from its geographical position and the politicalsituation at that time:Kroraina and Ying Pan is on the main road of the Silk Road,wherethe economic and cultural exchanges between East and West must pass through;Alexander made an expedition to the east as well as Darouzhi of The Kushan Empire moved east,they brought Greece,Rome,Persia and Gandhara cultures into the Kongque River basin;At the same time,the Han dynasty began to operate the Western Regions and Chinese culture also entered here.Therefore,The Kongque River basin became the biggest beneficiary in the expansion process of the East and West empire.As "the new material of the underground",The Tombs of The Kongque River basin are important additions to the historical records.Also,they are important references of the ecological environment change in this area.
