A Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment and Lam Rim Chen Mo are the master works written respectively by Indian famous Buddhist Atisha and Tsong-kha-pa,who is the founder of scholiast education of Tibetan Buddhist Ge-Lug Sect.These two works serve as the bridge between the past and future of the Buddhism,thus,the comparative study of them has a great academic value in this field.Moreover,it also has significance in the cultural development of Chinese the Belt and Road Initiative.This paper mainly studies the ideological system and the relationships between the two works according to the Dialectical Materialism.The introduction part explains the theme,the cutting-edge researches,the purpose of choosing the topic,the significance of the study,and research methods.The body part firstly provides and compares the creation background of Atisha and Tsong-kha-pa in terms of the history and religion.Secondly,it states the ideological systems of A Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment and Lam Rim Chen Mo.The former one is from the six aspects of three ways,valuing discipline,Whishing bodhicitta,committed bodhicitta,triggering supernatural powers,distinguishing and penetrating,and middle way thought.The latter one is from the four aspects of three ways,valuing discipline and middle way thought.Then,it makes comparisons of this two works.The last part of the paper states and compares the influences of these two works on both Mongolian and Tibetan.
