Research On The Narrative Mode Change And Narrative Strategy Of Chinese Nature Documentaries

As an important means for humans to learn about nature,nature documentary is an indispensable form of documentaries.In China,nature documentaries have gone through an initial period,during which they emerged from nothing;their sources shifted from introduction to self-production;and their major production model developed from independent low-cost production into international joint high-cost production.Change in the way of narrative of China’s nature documentary is obviously since the new century,it also indicates the China’s nature documentaries will along with the science and technology and the development of The Times and constantly adjust their narrative strategies to keep up with the pace of The Times.In the new media era,with continuous development of sciences and technologies and quick update of new media technologies,a lot of excellent nature documentaries in Europe and the US spring up.In addition,with continuous acceleration of globalization process,Chinese audience’s vision is continuously expended.This also requires China’s nature documentaries to further develop,so as to own unique features and international competitiveness.This paper first to clear up the development process of domestic and overseas documentary in nature type,to explain the converting of domestic documentary’s narrative pattern through the analysis of movie and television texts,to analyze its momentum for converting,to explain its performance after converting and analyze it with typical samples,to explore the opportunities and challenges it face and the new changes it generates,finally to point out the misunderstandings and inadequacies in its current development process and to provide corresponding and feasible strategy so as to boost its development.
