A Study On The Local Sacrifices In The Southern Shaanxi From The Qing Dynasty To The Republic Of China

The local sacrifices is a kind of public sacrifices activities which is held by the local government officials. The local sacrifices not only includes some religious significance, but also demonstrates the worship members’ opinion in the political, economic and cultural aspects. The highest purpose of this sacrifice is to improve the govern and preserve the unity. For my dissertation, the local sacrifices is a kind of public sacrifices crivities which is held by the local government officials such as the Confucius Temple sacrifices, the City God’s sacrifices, and so on.At present, there are more and more high-level researches on local sacrifices.To some extent it has became an academic focus. Because of the special geographical location, closed terrain and the mixed cultural features between the north and south in southern Shaanxi, its local sacrifices has an unusual characteristic. As a result, the study on the southern Shaanxi’s local sacrifices can promote domestic local sacrifices research. But there are few studies on the southern Shaanxi’s local sacrifices. So, I hope my preliminary study on the southern Shaanxi’s local sacrifices from Qing dynasty to the Republic of China Southern could attract more academic attention to this issue, then study it in a better way.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the concept and classification of local sacrifices, significance of the topic and defined time and space of this article, natural environment and human environment of Southern Shaanxi, and some academic research results related to this academic article; the second chapter describes the overall situation during the Qing Dynasty official ritual Southern region. It will be divided into four main categories, namely the altar worship, worship sandwiches enlightenment class, class ritual to protect the country Yau Man and Zonta report achievement category worship; the third chapter describes the overall situation worship Republican official in Southern Shaanxi, the local sacrifices was very few at this period, it only has the following four kinds:worship Confucius, Guan Yue worship, worship Valiant Prime Minister and sacrifice; the fourth chapter is a case which analyzes the original kit Southern literature festival chronicles described; fifth chapter is a case which introduced in 1943-1944 Shangnan Temple industrial disputes whole story; Chapter VI is the conclusion which analyze the common aspects and differences between the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, as well as the reasons for the differences.Through the above analysis, the author found that the overall trend of local sacrifices in Southern Shaanxi is from prosperity to decline step by step from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. Why does it change? I think it mainly has several reasons:First, the Qing dynasty lasted three hundred years, in which it is stable for a very long time, and the Republic of China existed in a very short period and basically it has been turbulent. Second, the basic rule of dynasties is different. Third, the idea of sacrifice is different.
