Yang Jue's Poetry Notes And Research

Yang Jue was a supervisor who was famous for his expostulation and a representative of Guan xue who was advocate Zhang zai'theory about Xing and Dao. The special official career that he was put into prison bacause of his expostulation makes him a typical case to anylyze supervisors' survived circumstances and expostulated mentality.What also makes his philosophy to be a important research area is his spirit of Guan xue and his proposition about Yi xue. So there is some room for improvement to research Yang's literature achievements since academia still foucus on his historical and philosophy proposition.Therefore the papper is divided into four chapters to reaserch YangJue and his peoms:The first chapter makes a brief reaserch on Yang's name,life, official career and contacts with his friends, according to Yang's poems,historical and local literature material. Meanwhile,it also reaserch the contacts with Han Bangqi,Qian Dehong,Liu Kui,Zhou Yi etc,arrange the letters and poems when they communicated with each other.The second chapter studies inscription and preservition of the poetries of different editions, after reading records of Yang's poetries in different catalogues and gathering different forewords and epilogues as more as I can. Then my papper will probe the progressement of these poetries'editions on the basis of these works. Furthermore,the editions of poetries will be analyzed more precisely through three points include single edition,synthesize edition and the edition with others' poems. What's more, I will statistical the species,editions and numbers of Yang's poetry,then correct mistakes about Yang zhong jie ji made by Si ku zong mu.The third chapter explains the reaserch achievements of Yang's poems from four aspects on basis of his poems'translation.The first aspect analyses philosophical thought in Yang's poem.As the continuing of Guan xue created by Zhang Zai in Guanzhong area,Guan xue is Yang'dominant idea. Yang's poems shows us the spirit of Guan xue obviously,such as the consciousness of ordaining conscience for Heaven and Earth and securing life and fortune for the people; the personality pursuit of advocating integrity;the harmony thought that everything is similar and equal.For Yang Jue had Special experience that he communicated with Qian Hongde,Liu Kui and Zhou Yi who was Wang Yangming'students about Yi and Dao when they were in prison.That gived him an opportunity to learn Wang Yangming's Xin xue.He advocated sit still to empty one's mind and body and control our own desires which shows us Xin xue's influence on him. So the philosophical word exhibited by Yang's poem is the integration of Guan xue and Xin xue.The second aspect analyses the change of Yang's emotion before and after his bitter experience in prison. After being taken into a jail, he was whipped and inquised by torture,the only thing he could and glad to do was reading Yi and writing poems which showed Yang's whole life and reflected his emotion changes. The transformation from a positive attitude towards life to a mixture of sorrow and anger caused by experiences in prison, then to inner peace because of his initial belief contributed to comprehended the inner world of supervisors during the reign of Shi zong.The forth chapter is collating and annotating Yang's poems.This part will take Hu shan yang xian sheng yi gao as the master copy which was gathered by Chen Shibao borned in Julu and published by Zeng Ruchun during the sixteenth year of Wanli in Ming dynasty. Yang zhong jie gong ji is the checked copy which was appended and published by Yang Shaowu who was Yang Jue's sixth descendant in the eighth year of Shun zhi in Qing dynasty. At the same time, refering to other editions is also of Significancent,such as Yang hu shan xian sheng ji which is the edition of Wu jing tang ben edited by Fan Haoding borned in Hongdong in the first year of Kang xi in dynasty,Zhong jie gong ji which is the edition of Lv cheng tang ben edited by Zhang Li yong in the nineteenth year of Guang xu in Qing dynasty,Yang zhong jie ji cataloged by Si ku quan shu and Yang zhong jie ci cataloged by Xi yin tang hui ke ming ci edited by Zhao Zun yue. The papper tries to make a accurate and precised annotation of Yang's poems which foucus on the complicated words,allusion,history and geography, ancient institutions and customs etc.
