The Application Of Laozi Management Concept In Bank Management

With the rapid development of economy in China, the competition between Banks is also growing. From the stage of initial development into the period of current development, all aspects of banks are experiencing the management innovation step by step. Paper works on the ideas of bank management, from the view of initial concept of western management towards the Lao Zi management idea of east philosophy. We are aiming at find a suitable management concept with Chinese characteristics for banks, which can be applied to the actual work.The following several aspects are illustrated in the paper: first, most banks in China now are applying the western management idea, but there are some deficiency in western management idea, which are not suitable for the current state of the banking industry. Second, we analysis some problems of banks, for the present widespread attention within the bank management related to deposit task, ignoring the poor service attitude, lack of managers' ability, and over highly risk, etc.. The paper finds the factors causing the problem and analysis them combined with Lao Zi management. We bring some concept into bank management such as Lao Zi's laissez-faire thoughts of humanistic management idea, the concept of human behavior, focusing on the feelings of pepole management concept and the concept of soft services.Third, Lao Zi management concept in the application of the bank management. Leaders and management group should use the proper staff and give them the suitable positions. Employees must have the awareness of owner, to work harder. To bring Lao Zi management philosophy into the daily bank management, banks should optimize the management idea, develop the management level, improve the quality of the leaders and staff, and improve customer satisfaction. As a result, banks can serve the public better and be more accord with the reality needs of current society.
