This thesis, based upon previous research, aims to probe into the important place of jade culture of lower reaches of the Yangtze River and even in the origin of the Chinese civilization, by analyzing and discussing the relationship between tombs and quality of jade material, styling of jade, skill of jade carving, unearthed jade, along with the similar cultural factors in the ancient cultural relic in the vicinity. This thesis is divided into 5 parts.The first part is the introduction, which is about the reason of the selected topic, research work and the research ideas and methods of the thesis.The second part is the general situation of Beiyinyangying site, that introduces the excavation results of the Neolithic period of Beiyinyangying and it simply summarizes in category the unearthed jade.The third part part is about the discussion about periods and years of Neolithic site of Beiyinyangying, and gives a further discussion on the jade on this foundation. In terms of completeness, Yuhuang can be classified into two types which contained A-type and B-type. According to different radian, Yuhuang can be divided into four subtypes. The B-type is composed of the same parts and can be divided of two subtypes. All of Yujue have a nick, which are flat shape. Due to the changes of shape, Yuzhui can be divided into five type.The form of Yuguan and Yuzhu is not change. Then it deeply analyses the relationship of tombs and unearthed jade and discusses the cultural characteristics of the unearthed jade of Beiyinyangying.As follows is the fourth part, which analyses the relationship between the jade of Beiyinyangying culture and jade culture of the surrounding area. Through tne comparison of analysis system, it explores the interaction of Beiyinyangying site and the surrounding areas, and uses the jade as the main research object to explore the important position of Beiyinyangying culture in the whole Yangtze River downstream region and even the entire prehistoric evolution of Chinese jade culture.The fifth part is epilogue, which describes the main idea and research significance of this paper and points out the shortage of this thesis.
