New Thoughts On The Protection Of The Qujialing Site Group

In recent years, China pays more attention to great sites protection, and lots of researches have been done on it, with substantial findings. Many plans and projects have been implemented to protect great sites. However, the definition of great sites still remains vague in China today, which brings lots of problems in practical work. This paper takes The Qujialing Site, which is one of the important great sites in protection, as an example to consider the problem of great sites protection in a new perspective.For now, there are problems in the extent of protection delimits when making detailed plan for The Qujialing Site protection, and the problems are mainly caused by vague definition of great sites. I will show the importance and talk the requirements of the all-sided and overall protection of The Qujialing Site through the analysis and the explanation from its organizational structure and historical significations. I hope this paper can bring some new revelations to the idea of great sites protection and the question of how to define the extent of great sites.
