Altruism is a lasting tendency of a person, it means the understanding of the relationship between the interests of others to achieve and his own development with an emotion born in the coordinating process, shows concerning for others, considering the well-being of others and wholeheartedly for the sake of others in behavior. Altruism is an important representation of socialization. At present, most psychological researches about altruism are on western culture background, and most of them are concentrated on altruistic behavior. At the same time, studies on altruistic cognition and emotion with Chinese culture are relatively inadequate. Some theoretical studies have already proved that interpersonal intimacy would affect one person s altruism, but relevant empirical researches are not enough. Therefore, this paper used self-developed altruism questionnaire and implicit association test to specifically explore the altruism traits of contemporary Chinese undergraduates, the relationships of explicit altruism, interpersonal priority selection order and implicit altruism, to give some inspiration on altruism training. The first study was about the drawn up of undergraduates'explicit altruism questionnaire. It proved that the scale had good reliability and validity through the factor analysis and the reliability, validity analysis. Explicit altruism was constituted by altruistic cognition, emotion and behavior. It was composed of nine factors:bao, the sense of responsibility, low egocentricity, sympathy, shame, pride philanthropy, helping and sharing. The structure met the demand of psycho metrics, so it could be used for further research. The second study was mainly about the relationship of explicit altruism interpersonal relationship and implicit altruism. We found that there were significant differences in gender and level about explicit altruism, the level of female students' explicit altruism was higher than the males'. The overall difference between regions was not significant, and also the only child, however, the rural and non-only-son undergraduates were more likely to help people. On implicit altruism, the explicit and implicit altruism were separated, There was no significant difference in gender about implicit altruism, while the difference in level was significant. Significant correlation existed between students' explicit altruism and interpersonal relationship. Reality relationship was positively correlated with explicit altruism, at the same time, dummy relationship was negatively correlated with the former. Among the dimensions of interpersonal relationship, alumni relationship, teacher-student relationship and dummy relationship made greater contributions to the prediction of explicit altruism. Implicit altruism had no correlation with interpersonal relationship, maybe it need a further research. From the two studies, we can get some conclusions:the explicit altruism is constituted by altruistic cognition, emotion and behavior; the explicit and implicit altruism are separated; explicit altruism is significant related to interpersonal relationship; Implicit altruism has no correlation with interpersonal relationship.
