In today's society,contemporary culture has intensely focused on the topic of women,and contemporary women's art of painting has also become an essential part of contemporary art,which carries the feature of independent and unique temperament.The existing implication and value of female painting,as a new topic,is worthy of our attentions.Those exhibitions and activities of female artist are increasing steadily.Firstly,through analyzing the history and actuality of research both at home and abroad,and comparing China with the West,ancient times with contemporary times,this article discusses the art language of female painting and also explains the development and change of female painting through its art concept and basic survey.Secondly,this article will further discuss the importance of female painting for art painting through its art status and contributions,and will list a large number of Chinese and Western famous female painting artists to illustrate it.And then,the discussion about basic characteristic of female painting further explain the significance and connotation of it.Finally,this article chooses fine brushwork painting as a starting point,combined with the new concept of brushwork painting and the understanding of innovation and development of current brushwork painting,to further discuss the direction of development of contemporary female painting.
