The world health organization is the largest intergovernmental public health organization in the world.At the beginning of its establishment,WHO has effectively undertaken the task of managing infectious diseases and implementing the national health strategy and other global public health governance,it has played an active leadership role.However,with the changes in the global public health governance structure and the situation,WHO is increasingly marginalized as a result of structural deficiencies within the organization.In this situation,WHO has begun to seek reform.In 1998,the reform of Dr Brentland had led who to regain its leadership role.But in the 21 st century,due to the failure of internal reform and financial difficulties,WHO made it inadequate to cope with the various infectious diseases in the 21 st century,and the situation was lagging behind and insufficient funds.The change of WHO status is mainly affected by three aspects.First,the global public health governance system;Second,the contradiction between the developed countries and developing countries in the global public health governance system;Third,WHO's organizational culture.This is a historical review of the changes in who's role in the global public health administration,and will analyze the changes in their status.
