Clinical Observation Of Huoluo Yinao Recipe In The Treatment Of Chronic Cerebral Ischemia Associated With Unilateral Internal Carotid Artery Stenosis

Chronic cerebral ischemia is a new type of disease which is listed in the classification of Chinese cerebrovascular diseases in 2015.Patient who is suffering in CCI always has dizziness,memory loss,anxiety,depression and other complex symptoms.But there is still no accurate diagnostic criteria for CCI.Meanwhile,chronic cerebral ischemia always shows too many kinds of symptoms which are not typical and easily to be misdiagnosed.These reasons above usually lead to that the treatment for CCI is delayed.And it will cause some others diseases such as cerebrovascular disease,Alzheimer's disease and so on.At present,modern medicine hasn't showed obvious effect on the treatment of CCI.So many patients is willing to turn to Chinese medicine for further treatment.My tutor made Huoluo Yinao prescription according to his years of clinical experience and experimental research.Through lots of clinical observation we have found that Huoluo Yinao prescription can alleviate the clinical symptoms,delay the progression of the disease,and reduce the occurrence of complications.However,the study on the mechanism of action and the effect of treatment still need to be further studied in order to provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of chronic cerebral ischemia.Objective:To analyze the characteristics of TCM syndromes in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia associated with moderate stenosis or severe stenosis in unilateral internal carotid artery;To evaluate the clinical efficacy of Huoluo Yinao prescription through the Chinese and western medical scales.In this study,CTP was used to evaluate cerebral perfusion in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia and the improvement of cerebral blood flow perfusion before and after treatment.Methods:We screened a total of 20 patients with chronic cerebral ischemia who conformed to the included standard and has chief complaint for dizziness and woozy.All the patients were evaluated by syndrome scale of TCM,MoCA,MMSE,HAMA,HAMD and CT perfusion before the treatment.After 90 days of treatment by Huoluo Yinao prescription,we evaluated the TCM syndrome scale,MoCA,MMSE,HAMA,HAMD again.Ten of the patients rechecked the CT perfusion after treatment.We analysed the data before and after treatment to definite the curative effect of Huoluo Yinao prescription with the help of the statistical software of SPSS 20.0.Results:(1)Related scale evaluation:The TCM evaluation shows that after treatment for 90 days the primary symptoms are improved clearly,including dizziness,headache,amnesia and so on.The change of secondary symptoms and other symptoms are not obvious.As to the western scale evaluation,MMSE score does not change significantly than before,MoCA score is improved,HAMA and HAMD scores have a significant reduction after the treatment(P<0.05,with statistical significance).(2)Cerebral CT perfusion examination:20 patients with chronic cerebral ischemia were examined with CTP before treatment,and the results indicated that the CBF in the injured side was lower than the opposite side,the MTT and TTP were longer,and the difference in CBV was not obvious.10 patients rechecked CTP examination after treatment,and the results indicated that rCBF and rCBV were higher after the treatment,and rMTT was significantly lower than before(P<0.05,which was statistically significant).Conclusion:Huoluo Yinao prescription could effectively relieve symptoms such as dizziness,memory loss,anxiety and depression,and increase the cerebral blood flow perfusion of injured side of patients with CCI.
