Objective: Ovarian cancer is a malignant tumor which threatens women ' s health seriously. The incidence of ovarian cancer is lower than that of cervical cancer and endometrial carcinoma, but the mortality rate is the first in female reproductive system tumors. It has been reported that the overall five-year survival rate of ovarian cancer is less than 40%,but the five-year survival rate of ovarian cancer patients whose tumor stage is earlier than IA is as high as 90%.Therefore,early diagnosis can improve the survival rate of patients with ovarian cancer.CA125 is a high molecular glycoprotein which is abundantly expressed in epithelial ovarian tumors. It has been widely used in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer since it was discovered by BAST et al in 1981.However,CA125 is only increased in about 50% of pre-stage I and 75-90% of advanced ovarian cancer patients which seriously affected its specificity and heterogeneity in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer.D-dimer is a specific product of fibrinogen degradation and is widely used in the diagnosis of thrombotic diseases. In recent years, with the development of medical research,it has been found that the concentration of D-dimer in plasma is closely related to tumors. However, there are few reports on the application of D-dimer in tumor diagnosis, especially ovarian cancer. This study focuses on the application of CA125 and D-dimer in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Methods: From May 2013 to May 2015,50 patients with ovarian cancer who were visited to Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Afiliated to Nanjing Medical University. At the same time,59 patients with benign ovarian tumor and 30 healthy women were randomly selected.Through review of patient's medical records, the expression levels of CA125 and D-dimer before treatment were extracted, and the combined value of CA125,D-dimer and CA125+D-dimer in diagnosis of ovarian cancer was evaluated by Receiver Operating Characteristic. Results: After statistical analysis, there was no significant difference in basic clinical factors among the three groups. The levels of CA125 and D-dimer in patients with ovarian cancer were significantly higher than those in patients with benign ovarian tumors and healthy controls, and the difference was statistically significant. The Area under the Receiver operating charactedsti C Curve(AUC-ROC)of CA125,D-dimer and CA125+D-dimer combined detection was 0.843,0.910 and 0.934,respectively.The sensitivity and specificity of combined detection of CA125 and D-dimer in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer were 94% and 79.8%,respectively.And,AUC-ROC of CA125+D-dimers was 0.937 when it was used to diagnose ovarian cancer. Conclusion: Both of CA125 and D-dimer have certain application value in the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, but combined use of them can significantly improve the detection rate of ovarian tumors.
