The Distribution Of TCM Syndromes In Multiple Myeloma And Its Correlation With Laboratory Indicators

ObjectiveTo investigate the characteristics of TCM syndrome elements of multiple myeloma and the correlation with laboratory indicators,and explore the possibility of achieving objectification and standardization of TCM pattern discrimination.Methods1.Collect clinical data of patients with multiple myeloma.According to the diagnostic criteria of TCM syndrome elements,they were collated and analyzed to explore the distribution of TCM syndrome elements.2.Based on the statistics,differences in syndrome element distribution among gender and age groups are observed,and the correlation between classification of modern medicine,levels of laboratory indicators(?2-MG,LDH,Hb,Ca,CRP,ALB)and syndrome distribution are analyzed.Results1.The distribution of TCM syndrome elements The common disease locations of multiple myeloma are kidney,spleen,bones and muscles,liver,heart,stomach and lung,and the percentages of kidney and spleen are 37.07%and 34.63%respectively.The common disharmony patterns are phlegm,Qi deficiency,poison,blood stasis,Yin deficiency,dampness,water stop,Yang deficiency,heat and blood deficiency.The percentages of phlegm,Qi deficiency,poison and blood stasis are 21.85%,15.89%,14.9%,14.57%respectively.2.Correlation between factorsThere's no correlation between gender and any syndrome element(P>0.05).There are different degrees of correlation between age and each of these syndromes elements:kidney,bone,blood stasis,poison,Yang deficiency and water stop(P<0.05).There is no correlation between the classification of modern medicine and the syndrome elements(P>0.05).The serum ?2-MG is correlated with the spleen,bone,blood stasis,poison,Qi deficiency,dampness,Yin deficiency,Yang deficiency and water stop(P<0.05).There are different levels of correlation between the serum LDH and the dampness,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency and water stop(P<0.05).There are different extents of correlation between the serum CRP and the bone,blood stasis and poison(P<0.05).There is a correlation between the blood Hb and Qi deficiency to some degree(P<0.05).There's no correlation between ALB,Ca and syndrome elements(P>0.05).Conclusion1.The major TCM syndrome elements of multiple myeloma are kidney,spleen,bone,Qi deficiency,blood stasis,phlegm and poison.2.There is a correlation between age and elements of kidney,muscles,blood stasis,poison,Yang deficiency and water stop.There is a correlation between serum ?2-MG and elements of spleen,bone,blood stasis,poison,damp,Qi deficiency,Yin deficiency,Yang deficiency and water stop.There is a correlation between the serum LDH and the elements of dampness,Qi deficiency,Yang deficiency and water stop.The serum CRP is related to the body,blood stasis and poison.There is a correlation between blood Hb and Qi deficiency.
