Electrospinning is a simple,effective and highly versatile method which can be further developed for mass production of uniform,ultrathin and continuous fibers.Various modified electrospinning techniques and applications of electrospun nanofibers have drawn much attention in recent years.N-octyl-2-cyanoacrylate(NOCA)medical glue has a lot of advantages,such as fast bonding,good water resistance,and no need to dressing.The solidification mechanism could be ascribed to the rapid polymerization of the OCA monomer in the presence of water vapour(specifically hydroxide ions)in the atmosphere.Traditional medical glue can only be used for in vitro wounds.As for the dura mater,liver and other soft tissue wound closure has obvious defects.In order to improve sealing capability,avoid tissue adhesion and save time in dural repair surgery,an in-situ precise electrospinning of medical glue fibers onto dural wound has been proposed.In this method,N-octyl-2-cyanoacrylate(NOCA),a commercial tissue adhesive(medical glue),can be electrospun into ultrathin fibrous film with precise and homogeneous deposition by a gas-assisted electrospinning device.Particularly,the self-assembled NOCA film shows high compactness and flexibility owing to its fibrous structure.In vitro simulation experiments on egg membranes and goat meninges demonstrate that this method can repair small membrane defects very fast and effectively,which may have potential application in dural repair surgery,for example,as an effective supplementary technique for conventional dura suture.Furthermore,with the kidney wound as a model,the airflow-guided electrospinning/spraying device was used to spray the medical micrometer nanofibers on the kidney wound,and the wound was successfully achieved.This method avoids the risk of embolization and obstruction in the clinical use of medical glue,and successfully solves the difficult problem of unoriented and difficult to control.
