Objective:To study the effect of pressing the muscle belly or tendon to relax the muscles,and to confirmed whether the neuromuscular control is one of the mechanisms to relax the muscle.Methods:Ninety male graduate students from Chengdu Sport University were randomly divided into three groups:the muscle belly?the tendon and the blank control.All subjects chose the right rectus femoris.In the resting state of the rectus femoris muscle,the dumbbell rod tip was used to stimulate the point.The highest point of the rectus abdominis was the stimulation point of the group of muscle belly,the upper edge of patella was the stimulation point of tendon,without stimulation in the blank control.The Eighty-five percent of the maximum tolerance value was the stimulation intensity of group of muscle belly,the tendon group was used in seventy-five percent,and the blank group had no stimulation.Continue compression for six seconds at a time,with an interval of six seconds between groups,repeated three times.The muscle tension was determined by the damped vibration frequency which was measured with Myoton-3,and neuromuscular recruitment was determined by the integral electromyographic which was measured with surface electromyography.Through comparative analysis the difference between the muscle tension in resting and isometric contraction before and after intervention.The change of the percentage of iEMG and the maximal isometric state of iEMG between the isometric contraction state before and after the intervention.To compare the correlation that was about the iEMG immediately after intervention and 30 min after intervention.All the data were analyzed by repeated measurement of variance analysis,independent T test,paired T test and correlation analysis.Results:1.In the resting state of the rectus femoris muscle,the muscle tension of the group of tendon was obviously lower than the group of muscle belly immediately after the intervention and 3 min,which is higher than the group of muscle belly after 10min(P<0.05).2.In the stream of rectus muscle isometric contraction condition,the muscletension of the group of muscle belly was obviously lower than the group of tendon about 10 min after the intervention(P<0.05).3.There was a positive linear correlation between the percentage of IEMG in the group of muscle belly and tendon immediately after intervention and 30 min after intervention(P<0.05).4.There was a linear positive correlation between the muscle tension of the group of muscle belly and neuromuscular recruitment(P<0.05),while there was no correlation between the muscle tension of the group of the tendon and neuromuscular recruitment(P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Press the muscle belly and tendons used with dot on heavy stimulus also can reduce muscle tension,the effect of muscle belly was better.2.Press the muscle belly used with dot on heavy stimulus can reduce muscle tension by neuromuscular control mechanism,and the mechanism of stimulate tendon to reduce muscle tension has nothing to do with neuromuscular control.
