| Objective:The small Qinglong Decoction is commonly used in clinic tocure bronchial asthma.But Shao Yang Disease symptoms often appear when it is used alone.The effectiveness and safety of using the small Qinglong Decoction added with regulate cardinal drug such as radix bupleuri and scutellaria baicalensis still remain unclear.So the research took it to cure patients with cold asthma type,and compared the changes of TCM symptoms,scores of TCM symptoms,ACQ6 and AQLQmarks.At last,we could evaluate the effectiveness and safety of this decoction and observe the TCM symptoms of curing cold disease with warm drugs.We also discussed some fundamental concept such as cold disease,tri-jiao syndrome and Shao Yang,hoping this research could provide some useful suggestions for the further clinic treatment.Method:Using the method of randomized controlled trial(RCT),60 patients with cold asthma were divided into two groups with 30 samples for each.Patients in treatment group were treated with small Qinglong Decoction added with radix bupleuri and scutellaria baicalensis for 7days.The control group were treated with small Qinglong Decoction only.After one-week treatment,all the indexes were well recorded,including the changes of TCM symptoms,scores of TCM symptoms,ACQ6 and AQLQ marks.Then we use the method of frequency statistics,chi-square test and t-test to evaluate the result.Results:1.Before treatment,the TCM symptom scores of wheezing in treatment groups was 2.69±0.46 and 2.70±0.49 in control group.After treatment,the scores reduce to 0.59±0.49 in treatment group and 1.03±0.75 in control group.The result shows the small Qinglong Decoction added with radix bupleuri and scutellaria baicalensis and the small Qinglong Decoction can both reduce scores of wheezing and the effectiveness of treatment group was better than control group with statistical significance(p<0.05).Before treatment,the TCM symptom scores of chest congestion in treatment groups was 2.76±0.43 and 2.77±0.43 in control group.After treatment,the scores reduce to 0.66±0.48 in treatment group and 1.17±0.73 in control group.These two decoctions can both reduce scores of chest congestion and the effectiveness of treatment group was better than control group(p<0.05).Before treatment,the TCM symptom scores of expectoration in treatment groups was 2.48±0.62 and 2.60±0.49 in control group.After treatment,the scores reduce to 0.48±0.50 in treatment group and0.93±0.73 in control group.Both decoctions can reduce scores of expectoration and the effectiveness of treatment group was better than control group(p<0.05).The other TCM symptom scores can be reduced in both groups but without statistical significance.2.The incidence of disorders of Cardinal disadvantageous was 8 in treatment group and 17 in control group.The small Qinglong Decoction added with regulate cardinal drug more effective in decreasing incidence of harmful change of syndrome with statistical significance(P<0.05).The syndrome of patients with Shaoyang disease mainly focused on bitter taste in mouth,dry throat,thirst and facial heat.3.Before treatment,the AQCQ6 scores in treatment group was 14.24±2.55 and 13.77±2.55 in control group.After treatment,it reduced to 4.93±1.34 in treatment group and 4.73±1.36 in control group.The scores of two groups were significant decreased but without significant difference(p>0.05).4.Before treatment,the AQLQMARKS scores in treatment group was 25.41±5.99 and 25.33±5.71 in control group.After treatment,the AQLQMARKS scores in treatment group were 8.31±4.01 and 14.07±4.97 in control group.The scores of two groups were significant decreased and the effectiveness of treatment group is better than control group in decreasing AQLQMARKS(p<0.05).5.The response rate in treatment group was 96%and 83%in control group.The effectiveness of small Qinglong Decoction added with radix bupleuri and scutellaria baicalensis is better than the small Qinglong Decoction,although there were no significant differences statistically because of the small sample size.6.During therapy,there was no other therapeutic method used and no adverse event observed in both groups.Conclusions:The small Qinglong Decoction added with regulate cardinal drug such as radix bupleuri and scutellaria baicalensis and the small Qinglong Decoction can both improve the symptom of wheezing,chest distress and expectoration in patients with bronchial asthma,and can control light,moderate acute bronchial asthma,improve patient quality of life.The small Qinglong Decoction added with regulate cardinal drug,which curative effect is superior to the simple small qinglong decoction,can also obviously improve syndrome outcome.In addition,it is safe,stable and can shorten disease course to some extend.However,due to the short test time,the result can only reveal the short-term effect,the long-term effectiveness,security and long-term control still need further study. |
