Based On Professor Jiao Shude's Treatment Of Rheumatoid Arthritis Syndrome Differentiation And Classification Of Academic Experience

ObjectiveThis study aims to provide a new perspective on Chinese medicine treatment of rheumatoid arthritis by discussing theoretical and practical rules of Chinese medication through data mining on auxiliary platform and syndrome classification of rheumatoid arthritis provided by Professor Jiao Shude as a fundamental to achieve the goal of patients' pain relief.Material and methodsThis study,conducted by retrospective survey method,collected patient samples who diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis in China-Japan Friendship Hospital from April,2014 to April,2016.Based on the recordings of syndrome differentiations of qualified patients on gender,symptoms,tongue,pulse,TCM prescription etc.,the analysis were delivered including the symptoms frequency statistics,the herbs frequency statistics,the four gas and taste of the herbs,the analysis of herb pairs and the analysis of new herbs prescriptions.Results(1)The percentage of four TCM syndromes are as follow:shenxuhansheng syndrome 45%(107/238);shenxubiaoreqing syndrome 24%(58/238);shenxubiaorezhong syndrome 4%(10/238);shireshangshen syndrome27%(63/238).(2)Frequency analysis found that most patients with rheumatoid arthritis showed joint swelling pain.The difference on symptoms frequency was that most of shenxuhansheng patients had symptoms such as morning stiffness,intolerance of cold.The shenxubiaore patients had symptoms such as joint surface skin temperature increase.The shireshangshen patients,in addition to the surface skin temperature increase,had visible heat symptoms like dry mouth.In the treatment,the shenxuhansheng patients used the warm herbs more than other syndromes,although used the less cold herbs,include two heat herbs.The shireshangshen and shenxubiaoreqing patients used more cold herbs and shenxubiaorezhong patients used the cool herbs more than other syndromes.Most of the herbs which treat rheumatoid arthritis is tasted bitter,spicy,sweet and the use of bitter herbs is similar in the four syndromes,the shenxuhansheng with the most spicy herbs,and the shenxubiaorezhong with the less spicy herbs.Herbs are mainly owned by the liver and the kidney.(3)The new herb pairs of shenxuhansheng are radix dipsaci,mulberry parasitism;radix dipsaci,mulberry parasitism,corydalis yanhusuo;live alone,notopterygium.The new herbs prescriptions of shenxuhansheng are rhizoma homalomena,herba siegesbeckiae,cassia twig,radix paeoniae rubra,Chinese yam,bamboo shavings;radix dipsaci,drynaria rhizome,notopterygium,corydalis yanhusuo,reed rhizome,fritillary bulb.The new herb pairs of shenxubiaoreqing are radix dipsaci,mulberry parasitism,anemarrhenae;mulberry parasitism,Rhizoma Wenyujin Concisum;The new herbs prescriptions of shenxubiaoreqing are drynaria rhizome,notopterygium,live alone,radix achyranthis bidentatae,Eucommia ulmoides,golden cypress;rhizoma homalomena,herba siegesbeckiae,bamboo shavings,ramulus mori,honeysuckle stem,pangolin.The new herb pairs of shireshangshen are radix dipsaci,fiuctus psoraleae.The new herbs prescriptions of shireshangshen are Polyporus umbellatus,bighead atractylodes rhizome,pawpaw,ramulus mori,tortoise plastron,turtle shell;radix cyathulae,radix achyranthis bidentatae,kadsura pepper stem,Chinese Starjasmine Stem,anemarrhenae,golden cypress.Conclusion1.The most syndrome types of TCM is kidney deficiency of excess coldness,according to what Jiao shude professor said that "wind cold damp three evil mixed to the arthralgia syndrome",characterized as that Rheumatoid arthritis is kidney and liver deficiency.2.According to frequency analysis of herbs use,four TCM syndromes are mainly used warm herbs,and more of herbs owned by the liver and the kidney.The higher frequency of herbs in four TCM syndromes are all include radix dipsaci,mulberry parasitism.Cassia twig is higher frequency of herbs except shenxubiaorezhong.Which are consistent with professor Jiao shude's treatment character as warming and treating by the liver and the kidney.3.The higher frequency of herbs use in four TCM syndromes is corydalis yanhusuo,regulating Qi and promoting blood circulatin to remove blood stasis,which reveals the goal of such medicine use is to stop pain.4.The low frequency of using monkshood and epimedium,is because most patients are in first stage of illness,whose main pathogeny is sever coldness,hasn't been deep inside,even though Shenxuhansheng is common when diagnose.5.Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis by Syndrome Differentiation,each syndrome combination of new herbs with the new side,for clinicians to provide new ideas for diagnosis and treatment.
