Objective:Under the guidance of Meridian and Jingjin theory from Traditional Chinese Medicine, manipulating the Minimally Invasive Acupotomy technique, todiagnose and treat the patient who developed knee joint medial plica syndrome.By comparing and analyzing the visual analogue(VAS)and Lysholm scale to evaluate the the curative effects of the Minimally Invasive Acupotomy ontreating medial plica syndrome,to investigate the mechanism, safety and effectiveness of the Minimally Invasive Acupotomy on treating medial plica syndrome, and to provide a reliable theoretical basis and new method forclinical use of the technique.Method:All of the patients were selected from June 2015 to December 2016 at Guangzhou Hospital of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine who developed knee joint medial plica syndrome.Totally 56 patients were strictly follow the diagnosis, inclusion, exclusion criterias. Then they were randomly assigned into the observation group and the control group according to the sequence which they came to look for the treatments.Patients in the control group were treated with celecoxib capsules for two weeks. The observation group added the minimally invasive acupotomy upon the basic treatment of the control group. The changes of VAS and Lysholm scores of the knee joint were observed before and after the above treatments for 2 and 6 weeks. The alteration of VAS and Lysholm scores from two groups were compared before and after treatment. The efficacy of the treatment were evaluated according to the criteria on diagnosis and efficacy of TCM.The results were analyzed statistically by the comparison of symptoms and signs before and after the treatment or between groups. Results:Except two patients from control group withdraw from the study, due to increased pain, all of the patients finished the research. The effective rate of the treatment was 95.65%in the observation group, higher than 52.38%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment, the VAS scores of all the patients weresignificantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.05).There was nosignificant difference in the VAS score between the observation group and the control group(P>0.05).After 6 weeks(4 weeks after withdrawal of celecoxib),the VAS score of control group showed no significant difference before and after the treatment by paired T test(P>0.05).While the observation group had a significant difference before and after 6 weeks of treatment(P<0.05),compared with the control group after treatment with significant statistical difference(P<0.05).Two groups of patients after treatment,Lysholm scores were increased;observation in 2 weeks time point group Lysholm score compared with before treatment with significant difference(P<0.05),compared with the control group, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05);the Lysholm score of the observation group and the control group before and after treatment compared with the significant difference at the 6 week time point(P<0.05),while the control group were compared before and after treatment was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The excellent and good rate of the observation group was 91.3%.That knife mirror with Celecoxib Capsules treatment of synovial plica syndrome curative effect, can significantly relieve the symptoms of knee pain and improve knee function,to improve the ability of daily life and the long-term efficacy was significantly better than the control group. Conclusion:That applying the TCM minimally invasive acupotomy to treat knee joint medial plica syndrome can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy, alleviate knee pain, improve joint function, improve patient' s quality of life.Minimally invasive acupotomy is a set of safety, effectiveness, ease of operation, postoperative functional recovery and other advantages of the diagnosis and treatment means worthy of clinical use to further promote.
