Objective To study the change of EEG power in patients with Alzheimer's disease( AD) in order to explore the characteristics of Change in brain function in AD during different disease processes.Methods Thirty patients with AD and 30 healthy aged people were included.EEG was recorder during eyes-closed resting condition and was transformed to provide estimate for total power,absolute and relative power in delta,theta,alpha and beta activity frequency bands and ? +? /? +? power radio.Results The power radio of? +? /? +? and relative band theta in group AD were significantly higher than that in others(P<0.05,P<0.01). The power of relative band delta at Fp2?F4?C4?P3?P4?O1?O2?F7?F8?T5 in group AD were significantly higher than that in others(P<0.05,P<0.01). The power of relative band alpha at Fp1?Fp2?F3?F4?C3?C4?P4?O1?O2?F7?F8?T3?T5?T6 in group AD were significantly lower than that in others(P<0.05,P<0.01). The power of band theta at Fp1?Fp2?F8?T4?P4 in group AD were significantly higher than that in others(P<0.05). The power of band alpha at Fp1?F3?F7?O1?O2 in group AD were significantly lower than that in others(P<0.05).The power of band beta at T5?P3?O1?O2 in group AD were significantly lower than that in others(P<0.05).Conclusion The QEEG of Patients with Alzheimer's Disease was significantly different from controls.QEEG was helpful to diagnose AD,QEEG had good prospects in clinical and research area of AD.
