Application Of Buyang Huanwu Decoction Combined With Surgery In The Treatment Of Atlantoaxial Dislocation

Objective:To observe the clinical outcomes by using the Atlas pedicle screw fixtion and take zhe decoction of Buyanghuanwu Tang during atlantoaxial dislocation.Methods:under the principle of thaf"first to reconstruct, then adjusting Qi and blood", zhe28cases with the syndrome of neurological function by Du block and atlantoaxial dislocation treated with atlas pedicle screw fixation and Intravenous infusion and oral Chinese medicine. Comparing preoperative and postoperative ADI, the SAC of atlas, Du block syndrome score, JOA score, VAS score. Results:At the last follow-up, the neurologic symptom and sign in all cases had significant improvement.The preoperative ADI of10.53±2.28mm, the last follow-up were <3mm; SAC from8.57±2.81mm to15.54±1.48mm, which were decompression and fixation in situ.;JOA score from9.36±1.85to14.75±1.21, improving the rate of57.59%; Du block syndrome score, VAS score was significantly improved compared with preoperative. Conclusion:The treatment guiding by thaf" first to reconstruct, then adjusting Qi and blood" can effectively relieve spinal cord compression, improved nerve function and relieve the symptoms of Du block.It showed that atlantoaxial dislocation and Du are significantly correlated, principle can give a guidance in the treatment of atlantoaxial dislocation.
