1ObjectiveAnxiety, depression status and extent of observed recurrent trigeminal neuralgia patients existence; acupuncture treatment to reduce the degree of anxiety and depression, relieve pain and improve quality of life; and the characteristics and experience of physicians of different needling methods. So as to explore the relevance of trigeminal neuralgia, anxiety and depression in patients with the disease, the analgesic effect and the correlation of anxiety and depression, the inference to mind the efficacy of acupuncture points, to confirm that the acupuncture treatment of trigeminal neuralgia should be noted that soothe the nerves regulating mental activities.2Methods5-2012in February2011to collect the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Guang An Men Hospital acupuncture outpatient relapse in patients with trigeminal neuralgia. Collect different physician acupuncture treatment of42patients, according to the standards of the2004International Headache Society Classification Subcommittee (IHS), trigeminal neuralgia (International Classification of headache disorders, second edition), meet the diagnostic criteria, age62.96±9.399years old. The trigeminal neuralgia of the diagnostic criteria; Inclusion criteria were:(1) trigeminal neuralgia the first attack;(2) was never OK trigeminal nerve surgery treatment;(3) volunteer to participate in this study. Exclusion criteria:(1) previously had a partial surgical treatment;(2) secondary trigeminal neuralgia caused by the known primary disease, such as the cerebellopontine angle, the trigeminal nerve root tumors and multiple sclerosis;(3), confusion, aphasia, or dementia. Exclusion criteria were: patients for various reasons, failed to adhere to the acupuncture treatment two weeks. HAMA Hamilton Anxiety Scale before treatment, after two weeks of treatment, respectively, of HAMD Hamilton Depression Rating Scale, VAS pain analog visual score.3ResultsOff cases of seven cases, one cases of failure to adhere to the completion of the acupuncture treatment; six cases treated with acupuncture after failed re-meter.35patients completed the10males and25females, no adverse reactions.35cases of patients with trigeminal neuralgia treating physician for a total of seven cases Ye Yongming, MD, Hanbi Ying, MD, a total of eight cases, Yin Wang, MD, a total of seven cases, six cases of Yang Tao, MD, Zhao, MD, a total of five cases, Rui Wang, MD1, Chang dimensional, MD1cases. HAMA anxiety before treatment an average of12.86±6.522of HAMD depression an average of10.97±5.864points. Description of trigeminal neuralgia in patients with mild anxiety are prevalent; and there may be depression. Patients wi th trigeminal neuralgia, anxiety, depression and the degree of gender, age had no significant correlation, but his disease progression<6years of anxiety score was significantly greater than?6years group (P<0.05). Anxiety level and duration of disease, into a negative correlation. HAMA anxiety scores in the VAS pain was mild and heavy was no significant difference (P>0.05), and>9grouping mean anxiety score<9grouping, indicating that the anxiety level of patients with trigeminal neuralgia and its degree of pain is related. HAMD depression scores in the VAS pain was mild and heavy significant difference (P>0.05), trigeminal neuralgia in patients with severity of depression and its degree of pain is a positive correlation. VAS pain scores before and after the acupuncture treatment, a significant difference (P<0.01), VAS pain score after treatment was significantly lower than before treatment. Acupuncture before and after treatment of anxiety, depression scores were significant differences (P<0.01) after treatment of anxiety and depression scores were significantly lower than before treatment. Acupuncture treatment before and after the daily average pain frequency, pain, the average duration of a significant difference (P<0.01), average daily pain frequency and pain after treatment the average duration was significantly lower than before treatment.4ConclusionStudies have shown that patients with trigeminal neuralgia prevalence of anxiety and depression, a serious impact on quality of life of patients. However, patients with trigeminal neuralgia, anxiety, depression and pain of not a positive correlation; and patients with trigeminal neuralgia pain, anxiety and depression score, the average daily average pain frequency and pain duration are very obvious after the acupuncture treatment improved. Acupuncture in the treatment of pain at the same time also need to focus on regulating the state of mind coupled with the tune of God, liver qi stagnation acupuncture or methods, many multi-angle rehabilitation.
