As is known to all,China's high-speed rail industry in recent years,in the absorption of foreign technology,as well as independent innovation,had a rapid development.With the rapid development of China's high-speed rail technology,high-speed rail has become a national business card and renowned at home and abroad.Chinese Premier Li Keqiang promoted China railway to the world during his visit to Thailand,Australia,central and Eastern Europe,Africa,the United Kingdom and the United States during the period from October 2013 to August 2014.As of the end of 2015,the total operating mileage of China's high-speed rail is more than 190,000 km,ranking first in the world.Accordingly,China's rail has an increasing demand of high quality of critical components.As one of the critical components,Pantograph plays an important role to connect high voltage,25 kV,from catenary to the high speed train.The traditional Pantograph with two arms and two carbon strips has a lot of disadvantages.While the single arm with single carbon strip can overcome these disadvantages which the traditional Pantograph has.So this thesis is a research of new type,single arm with single carbon strip Pantograph.This thesis based on the parameter of 380 B high speed EMU,from engineering point of view,introduces the design of the pantograph.First of all,utilizes the Hyper-mesh module of Hyper-works to establish the FEA model of Pantograph and conducts modal analysis.The result shows the rising,lowering and pantograph-catenary coupling model meets the requirement,and most importantly,the working frequency stays away the inherent frequency of the designed pantograph.And also,this thesis researches and analyzes the pneumatic system and establishes pneumatic control model,and simulates the meshing of the pantograph-catenary coupling system.The results show that the pantograph can work well under 300km/h and can ensure the current flows smoothly to EMU.This thesis researches the pantograph from considering the design background,working principle,detailed structure design,modeling,FEA etc.This research meets the demands of current Chinese railway market and improve the pantograph-catenary coupling stability and achieved some good result.Simultaneously,the research lays the ground for the further improvement of China high speed industry.
