Research On Urban Pedestrian Walkway Design And Evaluation Methods

Zero energy and zero emissions of walking traffic is the most green low-carbon transport travel,which is an important link with other means of transportation,but also are some of the living essential travel methods to protect the basic functions of urban transport and meet the basic needs of urban residents living.The key to ensure the steady development of pedestrian traffic system and to improve the proportion of urban residents walking is to create a human pedestrian traffic environment and ensure that the reasonable rights of the Pacers and the necessary position.The evaluation method of how sidewalk design satisfying pedestrian demand can provide important basis for scientific,humanized design and effective maintenance and management of sidewalk.This paper divides the urban sidewalks into universal walkways,recreational walkways and scattered walkways,from the view of the functional characteristics of urban sidewalks.On this basis,the functional characteristics and design influencing factors of sidewalks are classified and summarized.Secondly,we choose the factors that should be considered in the design and use of the sidewalk,including the sidewalk width and the line,the sidewalk landscape effect,the sidewalk sidewalk design,the sidewalk structure design and the sidewalk ancillary facilities,etc.,and deeply analyzed the impact mechanism and design reference factors.Finally,based on the consideration of design parameters and comprehensive research and other available data,a comprehensive design evaluation index system of sidewalk design was established.The system is based on scientific,comparability,comprehensiveness,reliability and coordination,and considering about four aspects: pedestrian comfort,landscaping,structural stability and complete accessibility of ancillary facilities.Based on the comprehensive comparison of the characteristics of each comprehensive evaluation method,a set of comprehensive evaluation method based on ANP-matter-element theory is established.In order to prove the practicability of the model,this paper enumerates two representative examples of the general and leisure walkway as the analysis object,and makes a quantitative analysis and evaluation of the sidewalk design effect and draws the corresponding conclusion.
