Urban Greenway Design Research Based On Active Aging Theory

With the development of landscape planning and design,more and more people attach great importance on the research of Greenway design.In China,after the implementation of the greenway network in Pearl River Delta,it rised constructions of national green way?What's more,the planning,theories and practices of greenway have entered a stage widely and deeply.However,the Greenway Construction pays less attention on the actual users.As one of the main users of Green way,their requirements on green way is special.In addition,the Construction of Active Aging Greenway is one of the effective ways to solve the problem of aging.It plays an active role in the activities of the elderly,social participation and healthy aging.Therefore,it has practical significance to do the reaearch on the greenway design from the perspective of active aging.This paper consists of five chapters:The first chapter is the introduction,which clarifies the background,the purpose and significance of the research.And it also described the scope,the objectives,content and methods of the research.The second chapter is the research on basic theory.This paper reviews the concept of Greenway and the research results in China and foreign countries.This chapter focuses on the theotries of Geriatric psychology and Geriatric sociology,and the concept,development and connotation of the theory of active aging.The third chapter makes the analysis on active aging green road according to the basic theory research,and concluded the construction needs.and on it futher the summarizes the principle of the design of positive aging green way:safety,convenience,comfort,communication,territoriality,pension weakening,encouraging self realization.The fourth chapter is the investigate and survey.Chosing the Nanhu green way of Yueyang as the research object Yueyang has severe problem of aging population,at the same time,the proportion of healthy elderly is high,the city has urgent needs for the positive aging.First of all,using the method of questionnaire survey to get the data of the activities of the elderly in Yueyang,and then summed up the relationship between the needs of the elderly in Yueyang for the active space and the design of active aging greenway.Then through research of Nanhu Green Road in Yueyang,summed up advantages and problems existing in the construction of green way under the concept of active aging,giving the corresponding improvement suggestions.The fifth chapter analysis and comprehensive research results,turn the regional strategy to universal strategy.Combined greenway design elements with the principles of active aging Green Way,summed up the greenway design strategy under the concept of active aging,giving the references for the cities which have the requirements of constructing active aging green way.
