The controllable electromagnetic force was used by the electromagnetic bearing to realize the non-contact suspension between the rotor and the stator,and the electromagnetic bearing had the advantages of no friction,no mechanical loss,no lubrication and high speed.It was widely applied in aerospace,medical,industrial processing and many other fields.The research field of electromagnetic bearing involved many disciplines,such as mechanics,electromagnetics,computer science,control theory and so on.It was a kind of mechatronics equipment with high technology content.In this paper the characteristics,classification,application background and the development status of the magnetic pole structure,the electrical control system and the control algorithm was introduced.The structure and working principle of the electromagnetic bearing were introduced,and the mathematical model of one degree of freedom electromagnetic bearing was analyzed.The Maxwell software was used to simulate the electromagnetic field distribution of the four pole electromagnetic bearing.Electromagnetic bearing and magnetic flux density distribution was obtained.The effect of rotor displacement and control current force on rotor parameters was checked.The electromagnetic bearing pole dimensions,coil turns,air gap between the rotor and the stator,bias current and other parameters were confirmed.According to the mathematical model of magnetic bearing,the magnetic bearing control system was simulated by MATLAB software.The parameter of PID algorithm and its improved form was optimized by The improved inertia weight particle swarm algorithm to achieve rotor stability suspension.The overshoot was small,the rise time was fast,and the adjustment time was short.The hardware experimental platform of electromagnetic bearing control system was built.The electromagnetic bearing controller based on the STM32F4 was designed.The stable suspension of static rotor is realized The rotor can return to balance position when the disturbance was added.
