In recent years,it has a high incidence of the benign prostatic hyperplasia among middle-aged men.There are many ways to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia,one of which is radiotherapy.The radiation therapy is the way the 90Sr/90Y radiation source is put into the rectum near the prostate,by using beta particles to remove the benign prostatic hyperplasia.Since radiotherapy itself has the characteristics of radiation.whether the doses of patient,medical staff and the public conform to national standards that is considered in the course of treatment.In this paper,the distribution of 90Sr/90Y radiation source radiation field is obtained by three methods.Firstly,the distribution of the radiation dose field is obtained by theoretical calculation of the Lovinge empirical formula.Secondly,using MCNP to calculate the distribution of radition field.Finally,the distribution of the radiation dose field is obtained via simulating the experiment by injecting water into the plexiglass case.By comparing three results,the distribution curve of radiation dose field is obtained.And the best treatment time is calculated to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff.At the end of this paper,the evaluation of radiation protection in the room of benign prostatic hyperplasia of Jiamusi Anorectal Hospital was conducted.The results show that the radiation doses of radioactive workers are less than that of national standards.
