NC machining process designing of automatic weapons industry in China is lacking of criterion and totally relying on designers’ experience,and the programming efficiency is not high.Taking the automatic weapons’ key parts as an example,this paper presented the research of the NC machining process design technology of automatic weapons’ key parts based on the knowledge.The key technology of KBE field was applied to NC machining research of automatic weapons’ key parts and this paper putting forward three feasible scheme of processing parameter reasoning and created the corresponding software modules.The concrete research content has the following four points:(1)Studied the NC code automatically generated technology based on PMI/MKE of automatic weapons’ key parts.This paper expounds the realization method of NC code generation technology combined with 3D PMI annotation and MKE technology.The key techniques of machining feature definition,processing rules customization and calling rules are deeply studied.Taking the automatic weapons’ atresia spiral trough characteristics as an example,introduced the principle of NC code automatically generated in detail.(2)Studied the method of NC machining and cutting parameter prediction technology.Analyzed the processing parameters prediction method based on the BP artificial neural network through Matlab.Determined the structure and parameters of the processing parameter prediction model.The neural network is trained and analyzed by the collected samples and this paper also created the software module based on artificial neural network parameter forecasting.(3)Proposed the NC machining knowledge synthesis reasoning technology of the key parts based on CBR-BP neural network.Summarized 17 kinds of the typical processing characteristics of the automatic weapons parts.Created the NC machining knowledge base combined with the enterprise’s existing production conditions.Using case-based reasoning method to create the NC machining knowledge reasoning machine.Using the trained BP neural network to predict the process capability of the similar case through reasoning and outputting the highest process capability’s cutting parameter set so as to determine the optimum process parameters.Created synthesis reasoning software modules based on the CBR-BP neural network.(4)Based on the above three methods,the paper putting forward one creation method of 3D NC process model of the automatic weapons’ key parts based on knowledge.Taking a certain type of automatic weapons’ key parts called weapon body as an example,this paper introduced the implementation process of this method.This paper proposed a process design method and creates the corresponding software module.Developed the "aided process design software of automatic weapon key parts NC machining programming ".Taking customized development on the basis of the NX software,and created the corresponding software interface.
