Friction and wear will cause very serious economic losses, and it’s one of the major causes of mechanical failure and waste of energy. Lubricant is one of the effective means to solve this problem, and has been widely usedin the industrial fields. In order to adapt to the rapid development of modern machinery, new lubrication additives has been widespread concern at home and abroad. This research has addde nano palygorskite and molybdenum compound composite to lubricating oil,in order to explore principle of reducing friction and wear.Improve the tribological performance of lubricant, in order to meet the high demands of the modern machinery on the lubricant and to promote lubricant related research Study and the purpose of upgrading.The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) Determine the nano Palygorskite / Mo composite components. On the basis of previous studies, this paper has analyzed and compared the two kinds of molybdenum chemicals-organic molybdenum and ammonium molybdate respectively tribological properties in lubricating oils and greasesby friction wear test. Studies shows that although two molybdenum compounds has improvedthe lubrication effect of lubricant,but combine of friction propertyother and physical properties of the two kinds of molybdenum,organic molybdenum than ammonium molybdate is more suitable for used as lubricant additives.Therefore, nano Palygorskite / Mo composite component are for nano palygorskite and organic molybdenum.(2)The optimization of the distribution ratio of the nano additive group of the combination of the slope and the organic molybdenum.It has studied different content of Palygorskite / organic molybdenum composite nanometer additives corresponding lubricant friction properties by friction wear test and theoretical analysis, and optimized composition ratio of nano palygorskite and organic molybdenum.The results show that: when the composite additive particles in palygorskite and organic molybdenum quality ratio of 2:1, the reduction of friction and anti-wear properties is best.(3)Optimization of the content of the organic molybdenum compound nano additives in the lubricating oil.It has studied friction properties of lubricating oil samples with different additive content by friction wear test and theoreticalanalysis.The results show that:when the content of compound additive in lubricating oil is 3%,synergistic anti friction and wear resistance of nano- and organic molybdenum is best.Tribological properties of the composite additives and friction reducing and wear resistance of the lubricating oils are best.(4) The mechanism of anti friction and wear resistance of the nano lubricant additives of the rock / organic molybdenum compound has been discussed.It has analyzed The mechanism of anti friction and wear resistance of the nano lubricant additives of the rock / organic molybdenum compound by means of scanning electron microscope scanning(SEM) and energy spectrum analysis(EDS).The results show that:Tribological properties of slope stone / organic molybdenum compound nanometer lubricating oil additive is excellent.This is mainly because the nano palygorskite particles can form a self repairing film on the surface of steel balls.The wear of the steel ball surface and the wear resistance of the lubricating oil are improved.Meanwhile,the synergistic effect of the friction and wear resistance of the stone and organic molybdenum increase the activity of the stone and the organic molybdenum in the friction process,and accelerate the formation of the surface of the steel ball.Thus the friction performance of the compound additive lubricating oil is improved.In this paper, the resultsprovides a theoretical basis for Palygorskite / organic molybdenum compound nano materials research, and has a reference significance to the related research in the field of research and application in the actual production.Therefore the subject has a very important theoretical significance and practical application value.
