In the metallurgical industry, large lifting machinery and metallurgical equipment mainly used motor for YZR series motor. With the poor environment, it needs not only to overcome adverse working conditions, but also to adapt to frequent start and shutdown, withstand high impact loads and meet the requirements of occasional overload.The motor has the following problems in the use process:inside the motor temperature rise too high, accelerate the aging of insulating materials, a significant increase in temperature of the motor during operation, accelerates the aging of insulation materials, even burns windings, and affects the service life and operational safety of the motor. The motor is very complex, and has big noise; the motor bed plate is heavy and cost a lot.In order to solve these problems, In this paper, numerical analysis of the rotor heat transfer-fluid coupled field was carried out, inner rotor temperature distribution and the maximum temperature point were obtained, the structure of the stator ventilation slots was improved, analysis of the stiffness, strength and modality was conducted, the base structure has been optimized. Main work done there:Firstly, the basic structure and working principle of the motor were studied, the ventilation structure and cooling mode were analyzed in a detailed manner. Then numerical analysis of internal flow field of the rotor was carried out and velocity distribution of internal flow field was achieved.Secondly, all kinds of losses, and heat release coefficient rate and heat generation rate of each component surface resulting in temperature rise of the motor have been calculated. Equivalent processing was carried out for winding model and finite element analytical model of the rotor was established. Then, for the rotor fluid-heat emission coupling field, simultaneous solution was conduced to determine the temperature distribution and the maximum temperature point of main areas (including solid domain and fluid).Again, the structure of frame sheet of air passage has been improved. Orthogonal test and analysis of the original blending frame sheet were implemented and then the frame sheet was analyzed and compared in its straight shape and cylinder shape.Finally, analysis of mode, stiffness and strength of the motor was implemented, while the thickness of the steel frame is optimized to reduce the weight of the base, providing a guidance for the development and improvement of similar products.
