Exploratory Value Design And Application Of Plant Dyeing Process

Traditional arts and crafts embody the ancient wisdom of life and culture.However,some of them don't match with modern needs and tastes,hence losing their markets and inheritance.The Vegetation Dyeing(VD thereafter)is one of them.This thesis examines how to revive VD.Based on domestic and international literature,we suggest combining VD with modern fashion and desires.To support our ideas,we have done fields surveys to reveal customers' tastes,as well as experiments to ensure the safety and repeatability of VD products.The main contribution of this paper is to design based on modern needs.That's an innovative way to prosper the traditional VD industry.This methodology can be applied to other traditional crafts,we leave them for future studies.
