Nano-TiO2 with different sizes were loaded on the surface of polyester fabrics using HTHP(high temperature high pressure)exhaustive dyeing method to obtain nano-TiO2 finished fabrics in this present study.On the basis of characterization by using field emission electron microscopy,X-ray diffraction and energy spectra,the nano-TiO2 finished fabrics were used as photocatalysts for the degradation of the azo dyes in water.Some factors affecting the catalytic degradation of the dye and the load capacity of nano-TiO2 on polyester fabric surface such as bath ratio,load time,load temperature,concentration of nano-TiO2 aqueous dispersion,pH of nano-TiO2 aqueous dispersion,inorganic salt,size of nano-TiO2 particles and so on were researched systematically.And the functional durability of nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabrics via HTHP exhaustive dyeing and padding finishing were emphatically compared.Then the photocatalytic activity and chromatic aberration of TiO2 loaded polyester fabric through one-bath method and two-step method were investigated.Finally,the nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric was applied to the photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde in indoor air,and the practical application value of the nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric under different irradiation conditions was evaluated.The results show that the different sizes of nano-TiO2 can be firmly supported on the surface of polyester fabrics through HTHP exhaustive dyeing process.In this loading process,increasing the concentration of nano-TiO2 aqueous dispersion and bath ratio can significantly increase the loading of nano-TiO2.and only when the load temperature reaches 130℃ higher loading of nano-TiO2 can be obtained on the polyester fabrics.In addition,reducing the pH value of the working solution favors the load of nano-TiO2.It should be especially pointed out that the addition of NaCl,Na2SO4 or NaNO3 to the working sollution can significantly increase the loading of nano-TiO2 on the surface of the polyester fiber,but the resulting nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric exhibits different photocatalytic properties.In addition,although the photocatalytic activity of nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric prepared by HTHP exhaustive dyeing method is slightly lower than that of nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric prepared by padding method,it shows better durability.Dyeing with disperse dyes and nano-TiO2 loading on the surface of the polyester fiber can be carried out by HTHP exhaustive dyeing method,and there is interaction between disperse dyes and nano-TiO2 on the surface of polyester fibers.Nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric can photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde in indoor air,the increase of nano-TiO2 loading.or content of ultraviolet light can significantly improve the photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde in air by nano-TiO2 loaded polyester fabric.
