Aerogel with low density, large surface area, and high porosity has attracted great attention around the world. However, the types and the applications of aerogel are seriously limited due to the complex synthesis route of aerogel.Simplifying the preparation of aerogel and enlarging its application area remain a great worldwide challenge. In our study,we have successfully prepared molybdenum disulfide/reduced graphene oxide(MoS2/RGO)aerogel photocatalyst in chapter 2.Due to the addition of GO,MoS2/RGO aerogel shows large surface area, strong visible-light absorption capacity, and effective separation of photoelectrons from holes, which make it a higher photocatalytic performance than MoS2 powder. But the preparation of MoS2/RGO aerogel has the disadvantages of complexity and high cost.In chapter 3,we provide a facile synthesis route to prepare MoS2/polyvinylpyrrolidone(MoS2/PVP)aerogel through frozen-drying of MoS2 and PVP suspension. This simple synthesis route can be applied to prepare other 1D or 2D materials/PVP aerogel, which not only simplify the preparation of aerogel but also enlarge the types of aerogel. However,PVP can be easily dissolved in water and organic solvent which limits its application in liquid. In chapter 4,we use polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)as the alternative of PVP to prepare boron nitride/PVA(BN/PVA)aerogel.The obtained BN/PVA aerogel reveals hydrophobicity, rich porous structure, low density, and favorable adsorption capacity of organic solvent, which suggest it a promising wastewater treatment material. In addition,C3N4/PVA aerogel with favorable photooxidation NO performance has been successfully prepared through our synthesis strategy.
