The Revelation Of Ancient Armed Forces To Contemporary Clothing

Finery is a significant media on which human civilization reserved.Basically functioning on keeping warm and covering body,apparel from diverse times,areas,nations and culture backgrounds plays an essential role on expressing social status,life attitude and inner emotion.especially,as for ancient China the long-history feudal empire,finery is one of the most important tools for the ruling class to steady their power and status.If the ordinary apparel stand for citizen’s implicit,delicate and elegant inner world,then the specific military apparel represents the warriors’strongness,majesty and courage.Meanwhile,the apparel for army,nation’s machinery,speaks out nation’s military level and vigor power.This project mainly studies ancient Chinese military apparel.We analyzed several common armour shapes in context to explore the art and beauty value in them,other analyses come from domestic and international armour literary studies and outstanding apparel designs with armour elements.Viewing the results of analyses above,we take elements of the Bright Light Barde,most legendary in ancient China,for example,into modern funeral designs,trying to break through the ’Chinese unique tradition’of propitious strips,Han,Tang finery.We aim to show the specific force character of ancient military apparel on modern beauty’ s point,so that through this design,ancient Chinese armour can be a genius inspiration like ’out of water the Cao’s duds’and ’Wu’s belt dacing with wind’,to enlighten broader directions for high quality Chinese unique finery full of inner meaning.
